    Ahh, Loretta Lux.

This is some haunting imagery and I’ve admired Lux for a while now. I love the manipulation, reminds me of the photography equivalent to foot binding. Its done for beauty and tradition yet there is just something not quite right. The hints of odd innocents and children as non children.

    children of the corn maybe.

These portraits have an uncanny ability to both idealize childhood while expressing the awkwardness and strangeness of being young. Its the detachment of her subjects that are particularly weird. They seem very distant.

    Thanks for the comment, hellomynameisart.
